Brevi
Brief once. Build right — the client brief platform that turns messy project kick-offs into a single source of truth.
Brevi is a web platform that helps creative and design agencies capture what a client actually wants before a single pixel is designed. Clients answer a guided brief, build visual moodboards and sign off on a style guide — all in one place, with AI helping draft and sharpen the details along the way. It replaces the scattered email threads, stray screenshots and half-remembered phone calls that derail projects.

The challenge
Agencies lose time and money at the very start of a project. Briefs arrive as vague emails, reference images live in someone’s downloads folder, and design direction gets agreed verbally and then disputed later. Chasing clients for missing detail delays the work, and when expectations aren’t written down, teams build the wrong thing and absorb the rework. Agencies needed one place where a brief is captured properly, visually and on the record.
What we built
We built Brevi as a complete, production-grade platform: a guided brief builder with AI assistance, Figma-style inspiration moodboards, a collaborative style guide with formal sign-off, a shared asset library, and read-only share links for stakeholders who don’t need an account. Agency staff and client users work in the same app, with permissions ensuring each client only ever sees their own projects. The whole thing is underpinned by subscription billing, usage-based AI credits and an admin console for the agency to run the business.
Key features
Guided brief builder
Clients answer structured questions block by block, so nothing important gets missed and there’s no back-and-forth chasing detail.
AI drafting and suggestions
Brevi drafts brief content, suggests answers to individual questions and produces a plain-English summary, turning a blank page into an editable starting point.
Visual moodboards
A pan-and-zoom canvas where clients drag in images and notes to show the look and feel they’re after, instead of trying to describe it in words.
Google Stitch import
Pull design screens straight into a moodboard, so existing design work becomes reference material in a click.
Style guide with sign-off
Colours and typography presented visually, with per-section approvals and threaded comments, so design direction is formally agreed and on the record.
Shared asset library
Drag-and-drop uploads organised into folders, with restricted folders for sensitive material and one-click bulk download.
Read-only share links
Send a polished, view-only brief to any stakeholder via a secure link, no login required.
Client portal
Clients log in to their own projects only, with agency staff retaining full oversight across every account.
Project workspace
Tasks, milestones, team assignments, activity history and printable brief exports keep delivery moving after sign-off.
Engineering highlights
One agency, many clients, airtight boundaries
Rather than giving every client a separate account silo, Brevi models the agency as a single workspace and enforces client separation in the permission layer — so staff see everything, clients see only their own work, and restricted folders stay hidden from those they’re not shared with.
AI that can’t overspend
Every AI request reserves credits up front, refunds whatever it doesn’t use, and returns the balance in full if the request fails — so the agency is never billed for a call that didn’t land, and usage can’t quietly run past what a client has paid for.
Built to be handed over, not held together
Automated tests, type checking, dependency scanning and secret detection run on every change, with a documented production deployment path — meaning the platform can be maintained and extended by any competent team, not just its original authors.
Migrated from prototype to production
Brevi began life as a rapidly-assembled prototype and was rebuilt feature-by-feature onto a hardened, security-reviewed, production-grade foundation.
